Just south of Sedona on Highway 89a you will find the Sedona Mago Retreat Center entrance park. Filled with love and fellowship and respect for one another and Mother Earth, it is also home to a 40′ tall statue depicting Mother Mago. The location of this work of art has caused quite a stir in Cottonwood, Arizona. Some folks think it is not appropriate for this location, some think it’s ok, some don’t agree with the philosophy of the Tao, and some would like to see it taken down. Whatever your belief, the Mago Park is something to visit. You decide about the statue: is it art or is it advertising?

In Sedona Arizona two neighbors learn how a promise is translated into reality as the Arizona Department of of transportation improves Highway 179.

The great flood of 2009 has been written even tho the year is not over. On Thursday September 10, 2009, a portion of Sedona received a direct hit from a monsoon storm, so focused it was only a mile across. It dropped almost 3″ of rain in less than 40 minutes. Normally monsoon storms deposit much less rain over a wider area, however this one was different. It caught the town completely by surprise.

When told by ADOT officials continuous roadway lights were being installed without regard to Sedona residents’ concerns, a Sedona resident spoke out.

Stephen DeVol, a 23 year resident of Sedona, Arizona, specializes in commercial video production and documentary video.

He is also an accomplished photographer, with over 45 years of experience in all aspects of photography, beginning with black and white film, into color and the photo lab industry and evolving into the exciting digital realm. Now knowledgeable in digital technology, the internet has provided an exciting new platform for imaging in Stephen DeVol’s career, both in stills and in video.
